Moadon Spring camp
Moadon is a short camp, but the memories are lingering for a long time. It is a place where Jewish children come together and learn about Judaism, pray and discuss the Torah with the Rabbi. The programme includes great activities: sports, arts and crafts, peulas, kabalat shabbat. Moadon is a quarterly camp and each one has a different theme. This year it was ‘Israeli army’and the participants were divided into four brigades : Canchanim, Nahal, Givati and Golan.
Each brigade created its own flag, learned all the details about their own history and marched while singing Hebrew songs. The children woke up at night and played a strategic game to capture each other’s flags. The participants hiked the mountain and while hiking learned a Hebrew poem. Children played an orientation game to find hidden notes and simulated an army obstacle course which contained running, shooting, and climbing. During the Moadon camp, children played many intellectual and cultural games, learned about art, performed theater play in Hebrew and had lots of fun.
Participants: Children from the age 7 to 17 years from all over Slovakia, Czech Republic ( Prešov Bratislava, Piešťany, Košice, Zvolen, Praha)
